How do I name my price without my voice wobbling?
The call is going well. Your client is excited. And then comes the question about the price, and your voice gets small, fast or questioning. As if you were asking for permission.

- How do I talk about my prices with confidence?
- Why do I justify myself when I name my price?
- How do I stay calm on a sales call?
- Why does selling feel so uncomfortable?
The short answer: when your voice wobbles at the price, it’s rarely about the number. Usually an old pattern speaks up: don’t ask for too much, don’t want too much, better be nice. Your voice becomes calm when you stand behind your price inside and your body stays safe in that moment. Not through a better sentence.
Sound familiar? You name your price and immediately add three more sentences. Why it is what it is. That there are payment plans. That you’re flexible. Before your client has even said a word.
What happens in that moment
Talking about money means showing yourself with your worth. And that’s exactly where many women carry their deepest conditioning. “We don’t talk about money.” “Be modest.” “Don’t brag.”
Your body remembers these sentences. Your breath gets shallow, your throat tight, your voice goes up. At the end of the sentence the price sounds like a question, even though it’s meant to be a statement.
Your price is a statement. Not a question.
Why justifying weakens you
Every explanation you add unasked sends a message: I’m not sure myself. Your client feels it. Not because the price is too high, but because you’re not giving her anything to hold on to.
If you truly stand behind an offer, you can name the price and then be quiet. Not everyone can hold that silence. But that’s exactly where your presence lies.
Three ideas for your next sales call
Say your price out loud before the call. Alone, several times, until it feels normal in your mouth.
Let your voice drop at the end of the sentence. “The investment is …” and then your voice goes down, not up.
Breathe out after the price and wait. No explanation, no discount, no apology. Your client first, then you.
The deeper path
Sometimes the price really isn’t right yet, because the offer isn’t clear enough. Sometimes the offer is great and the insecurity sits deeper. That’s why in the Voice Alchemy mentoring we look at both: your positioning and your offer, and the voice you bring it into the world with.
Because your business needs you in your full power. So that you name your prices clearly, launch your offers and take up space where it matters to you.
